Bayard Dominick

Bayard Dominick has called Montana home since 2001 and has lived in Big Sky since 2013. His summers are spent floating and fishing Montana’s rivers and lakes or chasing live music, while winters are dedicated to deep snow and mountain adventure. Family and community are at the core of who he is.

With more than 30 years of experience in resort mixed-use development, Bayard has worked on transformative projects in Aspen, Colorado, as well as Whitefish and Big Sky, Montana. He played an early role in envisioning the acquisition of Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks and was among the first employees of Lone Mountain Land Company. During that time, he became a passionate advocate for expanded trail systems, public land access, sustainable building practices, and the growth of arts and live music venues in Big Sky.

Licensed in Montana since 2006, Bayard brings both a developer’s perspective and a long-term community vision to his real estate practice. He currently serves as Chairman of the Big Sky Transportation District, where he is leading long-range planning efforts focused on active and alternative transportation. He is also a founding board member of the Lone Peak Film Institute, which produces the annual Big Sky Documentary Film Festival. In addition, he recently joined the board of the Gallatin River Task Force, further reflecting his commitment to conservation and stewardship in the region. Bayard holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale College and an MBA from Stanford University.
