Kevin Germain
After being raised in Idaho, Kevin moved to Montana in 1993 with his future wife, Karin, to attend “Trout U” a.k.a. Montana State University, drawn by a love of fly fishing, skiing, and hunting. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geohydrology and a master’s degree in civil engineering—an educational foundation that would shape his career for decades to come.
For more than 23 years, Kevin’s professional life has been rooted in the development of Moonlight Basin. He has played a hands-on role in shaping neighborhoods, stewarding the land, and helping bring to life the long-term vision that makes Moonlight such a special place. He is now transitioning from leading development at Moonlight with Lone Mountain Land Company to joining the team at The Big Sky Real Estate Company—a natural evolution that allows him to share his deep knowledge, perspective, and passion for the community with buyers.
Kevin also serves the broader Big Sky community through his involvement with the Big Sky Resort Tax Board, the Moonlight Community Foundation, and the Moonlight Basin Community Association.
Kevin and Karin have lived in southwest Montana for more than 30 years. Having raised their three children in Ennis and Big Sky, they have launched them into the world and are enjoying the next chapter of life as empty nesters—still rooted in the place they proudly call home.
